Operation Opera was carefully planned for a Sunday to minimise the loss of lives of any foreign workers and the late-afternoon attack was designed so as to provide the Israeli Combat Search and Rescue Team (CSAR) all night to search for any downed Israeli pilots.

An Israeli Air Force flight of 8 F-16As (aircraft 107, 113, 118, 129, from 117 Squadron and 239, 240, 243 and 249 from 110 Squadron) was outfitted, each with two unguided Mark-84 2000-pound delay-action bombs, and external fuel tanks. A squadron of 6 F-15As was also assigned to the operation to provide fighter support for the F-16As.

On 7 June 1981 at 15:55 local time (12:55 GMT) the plan was set in motion. The task force left Etzion Airbase, flying at 240 m unchallenged over Jordanian and Saudi airspace.

These two IDF aerial videos show how Hezbollah has been violating UN Reoslution 1701 in southern Lebanon:
Clip 1: This burnt-out building located in Hirbet Salim in Southern Lebanon, approximately 7 km from the Israeli border, exploded on 14 July 2009 at 0730 exposing the large quantity of munitions stored in the building. The many holes on the roof and walls attest to the destructive power of the weapons being stored and accumulated by the Iran-backed Hizbullah in Southern Lebanon. This is a clear and blatant violation of UN Resolution 1701, which prohibits the use and storage of weaponry south of the Litani River in Lebanon.

Back in 2003 Russia had plenty to worry about.

A recent surge in suicide bombers from the breakaway Republic of Chechnya has caused security to be beefed up across Russia.

But the war once fought by men and now waged by women — willing to kill themselves and others — has caused shock and fear in the Russian capital.

Last week three female bombers linked to Chechen rebels were involved in two separate incidents in Moscow which killed 15 people.

North Ossetia government spokesman Lev Dzugayev told CNN that 323 hostages, including 156 children, died in the siege in the southern town.

Chechens have been affiliated with the al Qaeda terror network, and an Arab connection suggests a further link between the Chechen rebel movement and international terrorism. Chechen rebels have been fighting Russian troops for a decade, seeking independence.
More than 700 people were wounded, officials said.

Britain has suffered its bloodiest day since the start of the conflict in Afghanistan with a further eight soldiers confirmed as dead and more wounded yesterday.

I would like to thank The UK for standing with America in this War on Terror.

Both of our Nations have felt the hand of senseless murder of civilians on our own streets.

The United States had to deal with Sept 11, 2001. the UK had to deal with July 7, 2005. bombings.

And here is a reminder of why we are fighting since the Media get stuck on lives lost and not the reasoning behind the fight.
